THE ROLLS-ROYCE GUIDE

Rolls-Royce hire in London, explained

Rolls-Royce hire in London with Mayfair White Gloves always comes with your own chauffeur. You choose the car and the hours; we look after everything else, from planning the route and the timings to holding the door at every stop. It is the simplest way to arrive at a wedding, a black tie dinner or a private terminal in a Rolls-Royce, without owning one or worrying about where to leave it.

This page is for anyone weighing up a chauffeur driven Rolls-Royce: couples planning a wedding, families marking a birthday or anniversary, executives hosting an important guest, and visitors who want one unforgettable evening in town. Below you will find which models we arrange, what each one suits, what it costs, and how a booking works from first message to final drop.

Which Rolls-Royce is right for you?

Every modern Rolls-Royce is built at Goodwood in West Sussex and shares the same essentials: a hushed cabin, a twelve cylinder engine, rear doors hinged at the back so you can step in and out gracefully, and an umbrella tucked into the door for a London shower. The differences are in shape and mood.

Rolls-Royce Phantom: the formal choice

The Phantom is the flagship saloon and the car most people picture when they think of Rolls-Royce. It is long, upright and unmistakable, with a deep rear cabin where you sit back rather than perch. Choose it for city weddings, a gala at the Royal Albert Hall, a night at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, or any arrival where the moment the door opens really matters. Our Rolls-Royce Phantom hire page covers the car, typical evenings and prices in detail.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan: the raised choice

The Cullinan brings the same calm to a taller body. You step across into the seat rather than down into it, the view of the road is higher, and the ride suits country lanes and gravel drives as well as Park Lane. It is the natural pick for a country house wedding, a long day out of town or a private jet arrival. Our Rolls-Royce Cullinan hire page goes into the car in detail.

Rolls-Royce Ghost: the understated choice

The Ghost is a little smaller and more discreet than the Phantom, which suits business dinners and clients who prefer not to make an entrance. It can be arranged where available; tell the concierge if you would like it and we will confirm what we can offer for your date. Our Rolls-Royce Ghost hire guide covers the car in detail.

What Rolls-Royce hire costs

Our Rolls-Royce prices are hourly, because the car and chauffeur stay with you for the whole booking. Rates start from £175 an hour, excluding VAT, with a three-hour minimum. The price covers the chauffeur, the car, fuel and all waiting between stops. Parking charges and anything you ask us to arrange on your behalf are agreed in advance, so the figure you see in writing is the figure you pay.

Occasions we plan around a Rolls-Royce

Weddings in and around London

A Rolls-Royce remains the classic wedding car. We carry the couple from home or hotel to the ceremony, wait discreetly during photographs, then go on to the reception, with ribbons on request. Popular London starts include the register offices at Old Marylebone Town Hall and Chelsea Old Town Hall on the King's Road, and many couples pair the Rolls-Royce with a Mercedes V-Class as a second car, for up to six more guests such as parents and bridesmaids. Read how wedding days run on our wedding car hire in London page.

Evenings, galas and the theatre

For a black tie dinner, an opening night or a birthday in Mayfair, the chauffeur collects you, drops you at the door and waits nearby, ready to bring the car round when you message. We regularly collect from the hotels on Park Lane and Piccadilly and from Claridge's on Brook Street, and our chauffeur in Mayfair guide covers the neighbourhood in depth.

Arrivals by air

A Rolls-Royce waiting at the terminal sets the tone for a visit, whether you land on a scheduled flight or a private jet. From Mayfair, Heathrow is around 45 to 75 minutes, RAF Northolt around 35 to 50 minutes, Farnborough around 60 to 80 minutes and Biggin Hill around 60 to 80 minutes, depending on traffic. The chauffeur tracks your landing time so an early or late arrival is covered. Our private jet chauffeur guide compares the terminals.

What to expect from your chauffeur

Your chauffeur is vetted, experienced, smartly dressed and in touch by WhatsApp before the day with their name and number. They arrive early, check the route against traffic and closures, and keep the cabin prepared with still water and phone chargers.

If plans change on the night, simply tell the chauffeur. Extra stops and extra time are easy to add, and the hourly rate stays the same. You can compare every car we offer on our fleet page.

ROLLS-ROYCE QUESTIONS

Before you book

How much does it cost to hire a Rolls-Royce with a chauffeur in London?

Rolls-Royce hire starts from £175 an hour, excluding VAT, with a three-hour minimum, so a three-hour booking starts from £525 plus VAT and a four-hour evening from £700 plus VAT. The chauffeur, waiting time and fuel are included, and the total is confirmed in writing before you book.

Which Rolls-Royce models can I hire?

We arrange the Rolls-Royce Phantom and the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and a Ghost can be arranged where available. You travel in the model you choose or similar, and we confirm the car for your date in writing when you book.

Can I hire a Rolls-Royce in London without a chauffeur?

No. Every Rolls-Royce we provide is driven by one of our own chauffeurs, who also waits with the car between stops, so you never need to think about parking, fuel or the drive home.

Is there a minimum booking time?

Yes, Rolls-Royce bookings have a three-hour minimum. Most evenings out run four to five hours and most wedding bookings run longer, so we plan the hours with you at the start.

How many people fit in a Rolls-Royce?

Each model carries up to four passengers in comfort, plus the chauffeur. For a larger group, add a second car, the Mercedes V-Class, for up to six more guests, and the two cars travel together.

Can I book a Rolls-Royce as a wedding car in London?

Yes. Couples book the Phantom or the Cullinan for the journey to the ceremony and on to the reception, with ribbons on request. For a wedding we also plan waiting time during the ceremony and photographs, and set timings for each part of the day.

Can a Rolls-Royce meet me at Heathrow or a private jet terminal?

Yes. Book it by the hour and your chauffeur will be waiting at Heathrow arrivals or at the private aviation terminal at Farnborough, Biggin Hill or Northolt, with your landing time tracked.

How far ahead should I book a Rolls-Royce?

As early as you can for weddings, summer Saturdays and December. Rolls-Royce cars are on request, so for shorter notice message the concierge on WhatsApp and we will tell you straight away what is possible.
