THE MAYFAIR GUIDE
Many London chauffeur companies send cars into Mayfair from a depot miles away. We work from One Mayfair Place, between Berkeley Square and Piccadilly, so the car and the chauffeur are already here. For a hotel guest, a resident or an office in W1, that means a car that can be at the door at short notice, a chauffeur who knows which entrance to use, and a fixed price agreed before you set off.
The work is the same every day: be early, be discreet, keep the car immaculate and make the journey feel calm. Whether it is a single run to Heathrow, an evening of dinners or a whole day at your disposal, you deal with one concierge desk that answers around the clock on WhatsApp.
Mayfair has some of the finest hotels in the world, and each one has its own rhythm at the door. Our chauffeurs collect and drop at Claridge's on Brook Street, The Connaught on Carlos Place, The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane on Park Lane, The Beaumont on Brown Hart Gardens, Brown's on Albemarle Street, The Ritz on Piccadilly and the hotels of Grosvenor Square and Hamilton Place. We liaise with the concierge or doorman so luggage, timings and the car's position are handled without fuss. Concierge desks can book with us directly on trade terms; see chauffeur service for hotel concierges and our page for Claridge's guests.
A day on New Bond Street, Old Bond Street, Mount Street, South Molton Street or Savile Row is easier with a car close by. Book by the hour and your chauffeur waits nearby while you shop, keeps bags safely in the boot, and brings the car round when you call. The minimum is three hours, which suits a morning of fittings and a long lunch. For larger groups or plenty of bags, the Mercedes V-Class seats up to six with room to spare.
Evenings in Mayfair often run from a gallery opening on Cork Street or Dover Street to dinner off Berkeley Square and on to a club. With an hourly booking the chauffeur stays with you all evening, drops you at each door and collects you whenever you are ready, however late. No apps, no waiting on the pavement, no surge pricing.
Airport runs are a large part of our work, at fixed prices from Mayfair. Your flight is tracked, so the chauffeur adjusts if you land early or late, and meets you in arrivals with a name board. For private aviation we drive to the business aviation terminals at Farnborough, Biggin Hill, Northolt, Luton, Stansted and London City, and meet planeside where the handling agent permits. Typical drive times from Mayfair, which vary with traffic and time of day:
| FROM MAYFAIR TO | TYPICAL DRIVE |
|---|---|
| London City Airport | around 35 to 50 minutes |
| RAF Northolt | around 35 to 50 minutes |
| Heathrow | around 45 to 60 minutes |
| Farnborough Airport | around 60 to 80 minutes |
| Biggin Hill | around 60 to 80 minutes |
| Luton | around 60 to 80 minutes |
| Gatwick | around 70 to 90 minutes |
| Stansted | around 70 to 90 minutes |

Every booking is in a recent, executive-grade car, cleaned before each journey, with water and phone chargers on board. Choose the Mercedes S-Class for one to three passengers on business, the Mercedes V-Class for families, groups and luggage, the Range Rover for a commanding ride, or a Rolls-Royce Ghost, Phantom or Cullinan, or similar, for the occasions that deserve it. For larger parties there is the Mercedes Sprinter. See the fleet and which car for which journey.
By the hour, with a three-hour minimum, a Mercedes V-Class is £85, an S-Class £90 and a Range Rover £125, excluding VAT. Rolls-Royce hire starts from £175 an hour. Heathrow from Mayfair is £190 in a V-Class or £195 in an S-Class; Gatwick is £265 or £270. Waiting at the airport and flight tracking are included, and the price is confirmed before you travel. There is a full breakdown on what a chauffeur costs in London and chauffeur hire by the hour.
Many of our clients live or work in Mayfair and book every week: school runs, board meetings in the City, visitors collected from the airport, a car for an overseas guest for the length of their stay. A monthly account keeps it simple, with one invoice and the same chauffeurs who learn how you like things done. See corporate chauffeur accounts.
We cover all of London and beyond from our Mayfair base, including Knightsbridge and Belgravia, Kensington and Chelsea, the City and Canary Wharf, St Pancras for the Eurostar, and race days and events across the country on our events page.
