THE CHRISTMAS PARTY GUIDE
Most of our December bookings come from three kinds of people. The first is the office manager or PA organising the team party, who wants everyone to arrive together and, just as importantly, to get home safely afterwards. The second is the host of a private party, at home or in a restaurant, who is collecting guests from across town. The third is the couple or small group heading to a black tie dinner who would rather not think about the drive at all.
Whichever you are, you tell us where people start, where the party is and roughly when it ends. We plan the cars, pickups and routes home, and the chauffeur stays with the car all evening.
For an office party, the simplest plan is a pickup from the office door at a set time, with guests arriving at the venue together. If people are coming from home, we stagger the pickups so the car arrives at the venue in good time for drinks. Your chauffeur messages the organiser on WhatsApp before the evening with their name and number, so there is one person to call if anything changes.
Waiting is part of the hourly rate. While the party is on, the chauffeur stays close to the venue and keeps the car warm. When the first guests want to leave, a message brings the car round to the door.
This is the part that matters most to employers, and the part that is hardest to arrange on the night. Send us the guests' home postcodes before the party and we work out the drop order in advance, grouping people who live in the same direction. A Mercedes V-Class takes up to six guests with room for coats and bags, so a team of twelve usually needs two cars, one heading north and one heading south.
| Car | Passengers | Best for | Hourly, excluding VAT |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercedes V-Class | Up to 6 | Teams going together, drops home in one direction | £85/hr |
| Mercedes S-Class | Up to 4 | Directors, guests of honour, a couple at a black tie dinner | £90/hr |
| Range Rover | Up to 4 | A raised, private car for a small group | £125/hr |
| Executive Sprinter | Larger groups | A whole department to one venue, 4-hour minimum | From £120/hr |
| Rolls-Royce Phantom or Cullinan | Up to 4 | An arrival that is part of the celebration | From £175/hr |
Every car comes with its own chauffeur and you travel in the model you book or similar. All hourly bookings have a three-hour minimum, or four hours for the Sprinter. Rolls-Royce and Sprinter are on request, so ask early for December. Our fleet page shows every car in more detail, and the Rolls-Royce hire page explains the Phantom and Cullinan.
Two V-Classes collect the team from the office at 6.30pm and drive to a dinner at Old Billingsgate, the former fish market on the river by Lower Thames Street, which is around 20 to 35 minutes from Mayfair, depending on traffic. The cars wait through dinner. At 11.30pm one car takes six guests home to north London and the other takes six south of the river. Five hours each, so 2 cars × 5 hours × £85 comes to £850 plus VAT, with no surge pricing and no one left behind.
An S-Class collects from home in Kensington at 7pm, drops at the ballroom entrance of a Park Lane hotel, waits through the evening and takes the couple home just after midnight. Five hours at £90 is £450 plus VAT. Our chauffeur in Mayfair guide covers the hotels and drop points nearby.
Friday nights in the first three weeks of December are among the busiest of the year for restaurants, hotel ballrooms and event venues, and taxis are hardest to find exactly when a party ends. The Night Tube runs only on Friday and Saturday nights and only on some lines, and on Christmas Day there is no public transport at all. A booked car with a chauffeur who waits removes all of that from the evening.
If colleagues are flying in for the party, we can collect them from the airport on the same booking. Heathrow to central London is a fixed £190 in a V-Class or £195 in an S-Class, excluding VAT; see our Heathrow chauffeur page. For a company that books cars through the year, a corporate account keeps every journey on one monthly invoice, and our hourly chauffeur hire page explains how waiting and extra time work.

CHRISTMAS QUESTIONS

Rolls-Royce is from £175 an hour and the Executive Sprinter from £120 an hour with a four-hour minimum, both on request. Yes. Send us the home postcodes in advance and we plan the drop order so nobody sits in the car longer than they need to. A V-Class takes up to six guests, and for larger teams we run two or more cars on separate routes.
Yes. Waiting is part of the hourly rate. The chauffeur stays nearby and brings the car to the door when you send a message, so there is no hunting for a taxi at the end of the night.
Tell the chauffeur on the night and the booking simply extends at the same hourly rate. We ask for a rough finish time when you book so we can plan the chauffeur's evening around yours.
As early as you can. Friday and Saturday nights in December are among the busiest of the year in London, so most companies book their party cars as soon as the venue and date are fixed. For a date close in, message the concierge on WhatsApp and we will tell you straight away what we can do.
Yes. Companies with a corporate account can put Christmas party bookings on the account with a cost code. Without an account, the total is confirmed in writing before you book, with no card fees and no night surcharges.
Yes, we drive every day of the year, including Christmas Day when public transport in London does not run. Holiday dates fill early, so tell us your plans as soon as you can and we will confirm availability in writing.
